Perhaps I spoke too soon?

Those upstairs doorframes I was just complaining about? Look how nice they are with a coat of dark stain. Two coats, actually. Two different colors. One is a dark walnut, and the other red mahogany.

Our ass-kicking painter, Julio, got his guys to give the wood one more good sanding, and then he gave me a couple of good dark stains to choose from. I explained what I wanted, and he really got me!

All I know is that I think they're delicious. A million times better than what they used to look like! Thanks, Julio!
